Custom Rhinoplasty
Just like every body is unique, every face is different. Each patient also has unique goals for their appearance. This is why we take a customized approach to rhinoplasties, ensuring that you get the best results that suit your unique goals and features.
Ethnic Rhinoplasty
Cultures and ethnicities from around the world have differing anatomical structures and beauty standards when it comes to the nose. We take care to preserve one’s cultural identity in the rhinoplasty process, to the extent of our patient’s wishes.
Alar Base Reduction
An alar base reduction is a surgery done to reduce the size, width, and flare of the base of the nostrils. This can be done to achieve particular aesthetic goals, and to boost overall facial symmetry and confidence in our patients who choose to take this route.
…and more! Please contact us with any specific questions or techniques you are interested in.
“I work closely with each patient to reshape their reflection. The nose is the centerpiece of the face, and each procedure is a chance to transform not just a face, but a life.”

All About
Rhinoplasty
Benefits of a Rhinoplasty
A successful rhinoplasty can have both aesthetic and functional benefits. Functionally, it can improve breathing by correcting any deviation or obstruction in the nose. Aesthetically, it can help a patient to achieve aesthetic symmetry by balancing the proportions of the nose to match the overall facial features. It can also serve to transform one’s self-esteem, leading to a newfound sense of confidence and poise.
Endonasal Rhinoplasty (Closed)
An endonasal rhinoplasty, or closed rhinoplasty is performed in a fashion where the incisions are not invisible after the surgery. They are hidden on the inside of the nostrils. This has the benefit of reduced visibility of scars, but also limits the view and access to comprehensive nasal regions of the surgeon.
Rhinoplasty Consultation
In a rhinoplasty consultation with Dr. Santiago, you will work together with the doctor to discuss your goals for your unique rhinoplasty procedure. You will discuss medical history to determine candidacy, and review any risks and complications that may occur. Dr. Santiago will give you his expert opinion and advice on what route would be best for you, to help you make an informed decision moving forward.
What is a Rhinoplasty?
A rhinoplasty is any surgical procedure that is used to reshape the nose. That being said, there are many different kinds of rhinoplasties. Dr. Santiago works closely with each patient to develop a plan to help them achieve their aesthetic and/or functional goals for their nose. Rhinoplasties can be considered either a cosmetic or a medically necessary procedure, depending on the circumstances.
Open Rhinoplasty
An open rhinoplasty gives the surgeon full access and visibility of the nose, allowing for optimum execution of surgical techniques. A small incision is made on the base of the nose between the nostrils. This will create a small scar that will be visible after surgery, but will lessen over time as it heals. Additional incisions are made inside the nostrils that are not externally visible.
